Passings
Met an old school mate today, he looked the same as he did when we were laughing kids runing around a playground, he said i looked the same too…exchanged what we were working as, then exchanged phone numbers. felt kinda happy in the way that you see someone you haven’t seen in awhile, but in a sense, i probably would not be calling his number anytime soon. another school mate, though i thought was quite cynical at the time, seems to make alot of sense now, he said, after refusing to exchange numbers, lets not say see you, or something like that, lets meet when we meet.
i guess he understood that sometimes people just diverge in paths, some may walk alittle longer on the same journey with you, a handful will be running down the same road as you, but most may have to travel different paths. we may all meet up along our journeys but ultimately we would continue our separate journeys….guess its times like this, i wish i was still in primary school or secondary school, things always was simple, there weren’t many grey areas, and you know for a fact that all your friends will always be there the next day running with you in that same schoolyard and standing with you during assembly….to quote a line i heard from “grey’s anatomy”: ‘…oh you grew up…what a shame…’
